Our Selkirk Boys

Our boys for our selkirk breeding plans

We have decided to cut back on our Selkirk Breeding programme due to ill health.  I adore this breed it has the most amazing temperament.

We will be rehoming some of our selkirks over the next few months.

As the Selkirk Rex is still a new breed, and outcrossing is still allowed, we try to outcross on most of our matings to help improve the gene pool.  With this in mind, we often keep boys just to have the odd litter which are then neutered and found their forever very spolit pet home.

Our aim is to produce beautiful kittens in accordance with the breed standard with amazing temperaments hopefully in lilac and chocolate bi points.  We also hope to eventually produce a lilac golden.

ZAZOO HAS GONE TO LIVE WITH HIS BROTHER, TIMONE, AND HIS OTHER FRIENDS PURDEY AND PUDDIN, ALL FOUR KITTENS WERE RAISED HERE TOGETHER LAST YEAR.

Zazoo sired one litter while here and we have two beautiful kittens from him and Bubbles, a Chocolate curly female and a brown spotted and white variant female.  We decided to neuter Zazoo early as we didn't feel he was happy being a stud cat, Zazoo just wants a cuddle 24/7.

He is now living in a wonderful home with all his friends and Mandy and Simon, thank you both so much for giving so many of our kittens such a wonderful home.  I wish there were more pet owners like you.

Zazoo was booked to go as a pet but as he had a very bad reaction to his vaccine it was decided that he would stay with us, and I am so pleased, we couldnt have asked for a nice boy for our girls for 2010, he has the most amazing temperament, he has to be one of the friendliest boys we have, he just loves you, and would be cuddled constantly.

Henry at 2 years old, what a big boy I am now.  Henry was a very big kitten and he has grown into a massive young adult, he is actually quite a bit bigger than our Westie Mea
